Future fashion and design – A design expert talk and a meeting of the minds
Check out the reactions to our trend seminar with Li Edelkoort that took place during Milan Design Week – as a special highlight, we brought together Li and star designer Mr. Tom Dixon for an exclusive design expert talk.
“Women don't need shoulder pats anymore. We have shoulders enough.”

SPECIAL DESIGN TALK WITH TOM DIXON
Li Edelkoort is the world’s most famous trend forecaster, and she sure knows how to entertain her audience. At our exclusive trend seminar at Salone del Mobile in Milan, Li shared inspiring insights into the trend developments of colors, textiles and design.
But the highlight was Li’s special design expert talk with Mr. Tom Dixon! For the first time in 27 years, Tom wasn’t exhibiting at Salone, but we somehow convinced him to join Li onstage. At Anteo Palazzo del Cinema, the two experts in their respective fields had a lively discussion – moderated by FRAME’s Director Robert Thiemann – about the future of design across all industries.

Li in the press
“Li Edelkoort is considered as the prophet in the fashion industry. People are even more wistfully waiting for her embassy than for the bridal dresses of the British Royals. Without any doubt, Li Edelkoort is currently by far the most popular trend forecaster worldwide.”
Ann-Kathrin Riedl
“In actual fact, Li Edelkoort has permanently shaped the development of fashion like no other. For more than 40 years her trend predictions have been influencing the look of collections, defining what is offered in stores and what ends up being worn in the Instagram picture.”
Lisa Riehl
“She is one of the greatest fashion lovers and critics. Trend forecaster Li Edelkoort makes a prediction about the industry’s future at a seminar in Berlin. Status: It’s complicated.”
