150 jaar De Bijenkorf

Celebrating the history of an iconic department store

On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of De Bijenkorf, LIGANOVA was in charge of executing the exclusive windows for each of the seven stores nationwide, including the flagship in Amsterdam. The concept illustrations were provided by Dutch illustrator Timo Kuilder, who visualized the history of the Netherlands’ oldest high-end department store, using a monochrome look with golden accents.

The exclusive windows consist of a black and white cabinet highlighting special editions of iconic items from different brands represented at De Bijenkorf, that were created especially for this anniversary. It also showcases different decorative items such as the illuminated logo “150 Jaar” and cardboard illustrations.

LIGANOVA was responsible for prototyping, production and delivery of all tools for these special windows, as well as some additional Visual Merchandising items used in-store.
