LIGANOVA appoints Marco Seiler as Group CEO

With Marco Seiler, the LIGANOVA GROUP is gaining one of Germany’s most experienced transformation and agency managers. As a proven expert in digital transformation and brand management, he is set to lead LIGANOVA strategically into its next phase – at the intersection of brand experience, retail, storytelling and AI-driven scaling.

Stuttgart, June 2026 – LIGANOVA is restructuring the group’s leadership: Marco Seiler is taking on the role of Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect. The digital and transformation expert is thus returning from the advisory board to the operational side of the business and assuming sole leadership of the group. The previous CEO, Timo Schönauer, is stepping down from the operational management at the end of the year at his own request after 16 years, and will remain closely associated with the company in a new role as a member of the advisory board and strategic advisor.

Combining creativity, technology and brand management

In his new role, he will be tasked with further strengthening LIGANOVA’s strong market position and strategically positioning the group to meet the demands of the AI era. The focus is on how brands can connect with people on an emotional level in an increasingly digital world and remain relevant in the long term. To this end, LIGANOVA combines physical brand spaces and activations, retail experiences, social-first storytelling and operational brand management into integrated brand experiences that are internationally scalable and increasingly orchestrated with the support of AI.
With its ‘Operated Brand Spaces’, LIGANOVA is also further expanding its successful format, which the group has been implementing for international brands for several years. Upon request, LIGANOVA takes on not only the conception and design, but also the operation, programming, content and activation of entire brand spaces. The group has been implementing this model for six years, amongst other projects, as the general contractor for the Mercedes-Benz Studio Odeonsplatz.

Brand experiences, storytelling and global implementation

In addition to LIGANOVA, the LIGANOVA GROUP also comprises the social-first storytelling agency LIGANOVA MaSH!, headquartered in London; LIGANOVA Horizon, which specialises in digital brand excitement; and the international production and logistics company LIGAPRODUCTION.
Through this vertical integration, LIGANOVA delivers projects in more than 70 countries across industries ranging from mobility and fashion to luxury sports and consumer goods. International brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Nespresso, Nike, Chanel and Charlotte Tilbury have therefore relied on this combination of creative conception and operational expertise for years.
