LIGANOVA creates interactive crest for VfB
Mercedes-Benz and Porsche have been involved in a unique global brand alliance for VfB Stuttgart since 2023. This is now visualized – and can also be experienced – through a special, innovatively manufactured VfB crest that characterizes the MHP Arena. In conjunction with the VfB “Brustring der Herzen” foundation, it also supports social projects in the region.
Stuttgart, 17 October 2024: The new VfB crest, uniquely designed by LIGANOVA, measures over nine square meters and adorns the foyer of the Mercedes-Benz Business Center at the MHP Arena. It weighs an impressive 400 kilograms. As a joint project, it was partially painted and polished in the Mercedes-Benz and Porsche training workshops. The crest is unique and symbolizes the commitment of the two global brands to VfB Stuttgart through the materials used. The global brand alliance represents a turning point for the further development of VfB Stuttgart and has had a lasting effect on many levels since its launch in 2023.
Be part of the crest and do good with it
A crest becomes a community experience: LIGANOVA has created 1893 “wish capsules” to ensure more interaction with fans and the community. They form the crest inscription with the three famous letters. From now on, anyone can purchase a wish capsule, including the accompanying added benefits, on the landing page (https://collectibles.vfb.de/wappen) at a price of €49.99 for three years and do something good in the process. Either the purchase price paid goes directly to the VfB Foundation’s projects or to a project in the region proposed by the customer. True to the VfB motto “From the region for the region”. The prerequisites for this are that a project corresponds to the statutory purpose of the VfB Foundation and requires funding for at least two years. A maximum of five such projects are then selected and supported.
In collaboration with VfB, LIGANOVA took on the overall responsibility for the idea, concept, technical planning and production – including the coordination of the Porsche and Mercedes training facilities – and the final installation. The experts for Brand Spaces & Experiences had previously secured the contract to stage selected areas within the MHP Arena, such as the Porsche Tunnel Club in the belly of the new main stand in the spring.
